Retainer & Legal Fees –CRIMINAL CASES *
Initial CONSULTATION: $250
This Initial Legal Consultation is a no-obligation confidential meeting for 1 hour, or as long as needed, in which I: (1) Meet with you to learn the facts of your case; (2) Legally research and advise you of the law pertinent to your case; (3) Contact the Police, DMV, District Attorney, and/or review your Court file to determine and advise you of the status of your case; (4) Answer all of your questions and give you my legal opinions; and (5) provide follow-up legal advice and help, as new questions or issues arise in the future.
The goal is to help you to better understand your legal situation, (charges against you), the Court System and criminal justice process, what you are facing, what the potential or likely outcomes are, what your goals, legal options and best strategies are, and how I might be able to help advise, represent and defend you, and what are the Legal Fees for those services. Then, based on our meeting(s), you can decide afterwards if you would like to retain me to represent you. (If you do hire me, the consultation fee is applied towards your payment of Legal Fees).
LEGAL REPRESENTATION – Defense of your case in Court
Representation and Defense of your entire case – from start to finish – attending all Court Appearances, all legal research and filing all Briefs and Motions before the Court.
MISDEMEANORS including DUI – $4,000
FELONIES – Defense up to Preliminary Hearing – $5,000
Then, If necessary – Superior Court Defense / Trial – $5,000
Probation Violations – $2,500
Traffic Violations – $750 / (with 2 points (reckless, speeding>100 mph) - $1500)
PRE-CHARGE DEFENSE: $ 1750
If you have not [yet] been charged but are in need of legal counsel to advise or prevent impending charges – I work with you, advise, counsel, and research for you to help you understand the nature of what charges could be brought against you, the criminal justice process, what you are facing, how if possible to avoid or alter impending charges, what your legal options and strategies are, and how I might be able to help represent and defend you, if charges are filed. I also correspond with law enforcement – the Police, Sheriff’s & District Attorney’s Office, on behalf of and with you to protect you and prevent you from being criminally charged. (If charges are later filed against you in Court, then the legal fee paid for pre-filing Defense is applied towards the Legal Fee for Representation (Defense) at Court).
* Legal Fees are all inclusive “Flat” Fees which include all costs (office expenses, travel time to court, etc). Note: Fees quoted above are average, and may vary depending on nature of case.
